Fuse is Hiring a Campaign Director!

Fuse (www.fusewashington.org) is hiring a Campaign Director to develop and manage our innovative issue and election campaigns. We are using the power of the internet to add more people and stronger communications to progressive campaigns. Our goal is to create a political landscape that supports progressive breakthroughs.

Fuse is a member-driven progressive advocacy group founded in 2007. We help the people who want common sense solutions to our State’s problems work together to achieve their goals. With more than 67,000 members in every corner of the state, Fuse is one of Washington’s largest grassroots political organizations.

Attributes, Skills, & Experience

We are looking for someone who is on the high end of:

• Bold
• Creative
• Very ambitious about increasing the strength of the progressive community and making serious changes in the world
• Technology friendly
• Collaborative

• Innovative

And has:

• Great writing skills
• Excellent judgment
• Experience and interest in online advocacy and new media strategies
• Strong media experience

• Strong experience planning and managing advocacy and/or election campaigns

Other handy qualifications include:

• Familiarity with the online progressive community, including local and national blogs
• Familiarity and preferably experience with social networking sites like Facebook and Myspace
• Interest/experience with new media, blogging and web video production

• Technical skills (HTML, CSS, etc) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage advocacy campaigns on priority issues and races, working with our partner organizations.
• Help us figure out the best ways to add serious numbers of real people and much stronger communications to progressive causes.
• Work on the full range of progressive issues and elections
• Generate and implement effective and innovative political strategies
• Be a full partner in an ambitious, innovative, and entertaining undertaking

• Help build a progressive powerhouse
