Rally in Seattle for Climate, Green Jobs, Healthy Communities

Thousands of people concerned about climate, public health and building the clean energy economy will rally in Seattle at noon on Thursday, May 21.

The rally will be held adjacent to an Environmental Protection Agency public hearing on the EPA’s recent proposed finding that global warming pollution is a threat to public health and welfare. The Seattle hearing and another in Arlington, Virginia on May 18 are the only two public hearings on EPA’s proposed finding.

The Seattle EPA hearing is certain to attract considerable attention regionally and nationally among climate advocates and clean energy business leaders, along with fossil fuel industry and global warming skeptics.

Who:
People supporting real solutions to global warming, green jobs and opportunity in the growing clean energy economy.

What:
Rally supporting action on climate, green jobs and clean air, concurrent with EPA's Seattle hearing on threat of global warming pollution to public health and welfare.

When:
12:00 Noon, Thursday, May 21st. The EPA Hearing and testimony starts at 9:00am and continues all day.

Seattle's Bell Harbor International Conference Center - 2211 Alaskan Way, Pier 66, Seattle, WA (map and directions).
