We must stand united in the fight against police violence and amplify the voices of those fighting for racial justice.
Here at Fuse, we’re taking a hard look at how we can use our platforms and resources to create lasting, systemic change. Last week, we supported the 5-part #ElectedsForJustice pledge from King County Councilmember Girmay Zahilay, co-hosted the procession for Black lives in Spokane, and encouraged our white members to learn, grow, and join this fight. You can expect to hear much more from us in the coming weeks and months about ways to support this work.
In order to keep the focus and energy with those on the front lines of the fight for justice, we have decided to postpone our annual celebration on Thursday, June 11th with Speaker Laurie Jinkins. While we remain committed to our Progressive Voters Guide, flipping the 3rd Congressional District, and electing more progressives to Olympia, we don’t want to shift the focus away from the movement for racial justice. We will be in touch with details about a new event in the future.
