How We’re Adapting To The Pandemic

This is an anxious time for all of us as we wonder what comes next in our communities and around the world in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Even in this moment of crisis, however, it’s essential for our work to go on.

POSTPONED: June 11 Progress is Possible Annual Celebration

Out of respect for those on the front lines of the fight for justice, we have decided to postpone our annual celebration on Thursday, June 11th with Speaker Laurie Jinkins.

Progress is Possible: Sharing food in communities

There’s no doubt that the coronavirus has turned most of our daily routines upside down. But in the face of this unprecedented pandemic, Washingtonians are showing up in all kinds of ways, from delivering meals to fighting for proper representation for immigrant communities during the census.

We are spotlighting both ongoing and adaptive work being done around our state because it’s important to remember that even in these times, Progress is Possible.

In the coming months, as Americans worry about their health, their communities, and their families, we simply cannot ask them to risk any of those things by waiting in line to vote. Republicans in Wisconsin refused to allow voters to cast ballots by mail in their special election this week.

The Civic Voices Fellowship

The Civic Voices Fellowship works to mobilize youth throughout the Puget Sound and Southwest WA region to vote through traditional campaign outreach, community-based, and relational organizing tactics. Fellows will work in direct partnership with a local organization, on exciting races for progressive candidates, and to mobilize their own networks using both time-tested relational organizing in combination with new technology. This will be the second year of the program.

Protecting workers during this crisis

Our nation faces a health emergency that is spreading rapidly through our communities. Rather than letting fear turn us against each other, we must come together and support one another, especially those hardest hit by this crisis.
