It was so awesome to see voters support progressive candidates across the state and country and reject the MAGA Republican lies and conspiracy theories.

“Who is Matt Larkin?” That’s the question people keep asking us after he advanced in the primary election to face Rep. Dr. Kim Schrier this November in the 8th Congressional District.

This Sunday, June 19 is Juneteenth, commemorating the day that enslaved Africans in Galveston, Texas, learned from Union soldiers that they were free, marking total freedom from slave trade across all states.

Not Just SCOTUS. WA Republicans Attack Abortion Access
No matter where you live or work, everyone deserves access to safe abortion care and the freedom to make the decisions that are right for their families. But the U.S. Supreme Court's draft decision overturning Roe v. Wade would strip away our freedom and put the lives of pregnant people in jeopardy.
While Washington is a safe haven for abortion care access, Republican legislators in our state would quickly roll back those protections if they gained power.
Why Progressives Should Decline to Sign Washington's I-1929
Another tax cut for the super-rich and education cuts for our kids.
That’s what Initiative 1929 would mean if it qualifies for the November ballot. A few wealthy Republican donors are bankrolling this initiative to repeal our state’s capital gains tax. If they’re successful, the wealthiest 0.2% of taxpayers would take away $500 million a year from Washington public schools, students, and childcare.

After a historic 2021 legislative session where legislators passed sweeping reforms to our tax code, climate policies, and police accountability, they took a more cautious approach during this short session.
While we were disappointed that legislators failed to pass a number of important progressive bills this year, overall we saw valuable strides forward on other priorities including transportation, abortion access, community safety, affordable housing, and more.
